Blue Ridge Bells
.

Blue Ridge Bells are twelve young people in grades 4-10 ringing enthusiastically from C.F. Richards Jr. Academy in Staunton, Virginia.

The bell choir has toured much of the east coast, parts of the Midwest, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The choir’s growing acclaim has led to several significant appointments in the last few years.

The Blue Ridge Bells had the distinct honor of performing for the 55th Presidential Inauguration of President George W. Bush. The group was one of three hand bell choirs selected from across the nation to perform for this special occasion. A historical privilege to perform at America’s 400th Anniversary in Jamestown. In Puerto Rico they performed in the Capital Building rotunda of old San Juan for many dignitaries including Speaker of the House of Representatives and Miss Puerto Rico. Other tours have included American Adventure Rotunda in Disney World’s Epcot, the United Nations, featured guest performers for the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers Youth Festival, famous St. Paul’s Chapel in New York City and Cathedral Basilica in St. Louis. They have recorded and performed live on national and satellite networks.

Notable performances in 2008 include Trinity Broadcasting’s Holy Land Experience, a second invitation to Disney World’s Epcot, and Florida Hospital Celebration Health.

In 2005 the Blue Ridge Bells were proud to receive Governor Mark Warner’s Seal of Recognition for their outstanding achievements providing entertainment for music lovers in Virginia and across the nation.
